Committee on Evangelism and Missions

Overview

Works very closely with the Pastor to see that the word of God is taught throughout the church; to help he people to discover Jesus' way of life and make it their philosophy of life; to make available to the membership and other evangelistic literature (tracts, leaflets, brochures, etc.); to conduct evangelist services in the church and the community (jails, hospitals (if permitted), streets, etc.); to promote visitation evangelism; to follow through on new members; and to sponsor programs and project to win souls for Christ.  
The committee may be representative of the various boards and auxiliaries of the church to be sure off adequate outreach in the membership.  
If such activities are to be lead by a board, then the appropriate persons should be members. The board or committee should function the year round.
